Here’s what you’ll be doing during the class:
- Workbook lessons and exercises – The Workbook course contains comprehensive information that you can view, fill, and print. The workbook is a (pdf) file that you can open and read in your browser or download to use at your convenience. This workbook sets the pace and direction of the entire course. Initially, all exercises will only be available in your workbook. However, they will become available online as lessons soon. All online exercises and quizzes, information is submitted automatically. Also, in most cases, the data submitted from exercises and quizzes are graded automatically, but in some rare instances, the information may need to be reviewed by a counselor. In every case, both you and the counselor will be notified automatically as you progress through each lesson. In addition, all notifications and other information are readily available on the “My Account” page. This allows us to keep track of attendance and course progress. Also, this provides you with a permanent reference and record for course progress and related materials.
- Meeting Lesson – In these lessons, you are directed to your “Online Meeting Group” where you will participate in a live online group session with other participants and an accredited facilitator. There are detailed instructions in the meeting lesson, but it is very easy to participate. Just log in to your account a few minutes before the scheduled meeting time and click “Join Meeting.”
- Weekly Journals – You will find 52 quizzes in the Weekly Journal course; these are your journals. They will only be available one-at-a-time, at 7-day intervals, starting from your initial enrollment in the course. These are to be completed by each participant every week. In addition, these lessons will provide a progress gauge over the entire 52-week period of the course.
- Final assignment – At the end of your course you will be asked to complete a final assignment. It will allow you to assess what you have learned during the course and provide feedback about the dynamics of the course.
